Weddings
Congratulations and blessings on your decision to marry!  St. Matthias welcomes requests for Christian marriage from any baptized person. Membership in the parish is not a requirement. Call 780-487-0324 or eMail the office to arrange to meet with our clergy.

Steps to Arranging a Wedding
After you have contacted the clergy, you are most welcome to attend at worship to get a sense of the community, who prays for you and supports your marriage.
In most cases, two meetings plus marriage preparation suffice to arrange a wedding.
The clergy will reserve the date and time of your wedding with you.
Our music director will play for weddings and offers supportive advice on music suitable to the place, rites and occasion.

Marriage Preparation
Marriage preparation is a requirement for marriage in any Anglican Church in Canada.
The reason is simple: it triples the chances of your marriage's success. You can seek this on your own, or we can assist you in finding a qualified person to lead you through that process.

Photography
Photography is permitted as the bridal party enters and when they exit the sanctuary. Couples are told in advance that photography is not appropriate nor permitted during sacred worship. The presiding priest, when asked, will gladly offer a photo session after worship, including reenactment, to accommodate professional photographers or guests. The sanctuary as well as the grounds of the church are also available for photography by request.
